Delft, Netherlands – 28 September 2022 – CarbonX announces it has been selected amongst 70 companies to represent the Netherlands at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, an internationally renowned global tech event, taking place 5-8 January 2023. CarbonX will participate in the official kick-off taking place at CES Unveiled Amsterdam on 13 October 2022 at the Beurs van Berlage Convention Centre.

Because of its unique structure, CarbonX® allows tiremakers to overcome the limitations of conventional materials and thus achieve better fuel efficiency and higher durability at the same time. Using CarbonX® in tires on a global scale taps into significant potential savings of 76 million tonnes CO₂ in absolute emissions every year. 

CES 2023 committed to highlighting sustainability-driven tech innovations 

Like last year, the Netherlands delegation will be present in two pavilions at CES 2023: ‘The Netherlands Tech Square’ for start-ups and the ‘Next Level Innovations Pavilion’ for scale-ups.  As one the world’s largest tech events, CES continues to strengthen its focus and draw attention to companies developing creative solutions that address global challenges and improve lives around the world.

In the coming months, CarbonX will follow a training program offered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency to fully prepare for the global stage of CES.

2023 will mark the seventh year the Netherlands participates in CES. Over the past six years, more than 250 Dutch companies have visited CES as part of the Dutch delegation – generating an estimated 10,000 high-quality jobs and adding value to the Dutch economy.

First stop: CES Unveiled Amsterdam

The official kick-off for CES 2023 will take place at CES Unveiled Amsterdam on 13 October 2022 at the Beurs van Berlage Convention Centre in Amsterdam. CES Unveiled Amsterdam is organized in collaboration with the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. In addition to announcing this year’s Innovation Award Honorees, the event will include keynote sessions from Gary Shapiro (CES), Ali NIkham (Bunq) and Sabine Stuiver (Hydraloop), among others.

CarbonX will be showcased with a booth in the marketplace exhibition alongside the 70 innovators selected to be a part of this year’s Dutch delegation.
