What is CarbonX®?

CarbonX® is a revolutionary new carbon material that can deliver high performance and greater sustainability to make a positive impact in various applications. CarbonX® is produced in bulk and supplied globally to the tire and plastics industries. In fact, our first commercial automotive and bicycle tires have entered the market this year! After securing a new round of growth investment, it’s now time to grow our sales team with a professional who can help us take the next steps towards securing our position.

 

The Team

The Sales Team focuses on business development and account management. You’ll be working closely with your team, to analyse and improve upon the strategy for different niche markets, particularly those where sustainability and performance can make a difference. We actively target market segments in automotive, electrical & electronics, and industrial manufacturing.

The sales team works in tandem with the marketing and technical teams to help clients develop application-specific solutions. We celebrate success together and have regular feedback loops.

Working with a diverse group of technology and sustainability enthusiasts offers extra motivation to develop ourselves further as professionals, expand our abilities, and accelerate our own growth.

We work with both qualitative and quantitative targets, depending on the technology readiness level of the business line.

 

What will you do?

As a Business Developer your main responsibility is to find product/market fits for our commercial grades and grow the relationship with existing clients into a mature network.

You will perform market analysis, generate Qualified Sales Leads, convert leads into successful Prospects and fortify the relation with your accounts. Drinks are on you once a Prospect fully validates the sustainability and performance CarbonX brings to their product!

Using account planning tactics and your resourcefulness will enable you to find creative ways to nurture our leads and prospects, stimulate cross-selling and secure our supplier position. You will help shape the strategy for the business line and pave the way for new colleagues that will be hired on your team over the coming year.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Find product/market fit
  • Build a comprehensive business development/Account Management strategy
  • Generate, nurture and convert leads into onboarded clients
  • Manage large accounts, securing our position
  • Arrange international shipments
  • Sales reporting and administration
  • Coordinate & attend international events

 

Who are you?

You are looking for a high-pace, creative, and commercial challenge that will push your boundaries. With your B2B experience and confident nature, you can create business opportunities and build relations. You have leadership skills and a motivation to grow into a leadership role.

You have an independent mindset, and you don’t stop after the first try. Enthusiasm, curiosity, and proactivity define your attitude in business. Your strong communication skills, a feel for the materials / automotive industry, and a good dose of competitiveness will seal the deal.

As a team, we continuously review our tactics and adapt to new situations, successes, and challenges. A flexible and proactive approach plus the ability to offer constructive feedback are invaluable to help the team grow, both business-wise and in sales revenue.

 

There are a few must-haves to fit this role:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a B2B sales role
  • A Bachelor diploma
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Live within travelling distance of our Delft office
  • And some nice-to-haves:
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • A technical/scientific background
  • Fluent in Dutch
